The 30th TIJA Illinois Symposium of The International Journal of Accounting was co-hosted by the University of Illinois and Piraeus University and took place in Athens, Greece on June 2 – 4, 2019. The Symposium had three objectives: (a) improving the quality of research through an in-depth discussion of ten papers, (b) learning additional research skills, and (c) helping to generate new ideas. In addition, the program also included two panels shared by academics and executives to address some of the pressing issues.
